Siguiendo el orden, de fuera hacia dentro,\u00a0 se sube hac\u00eda la plaza pero se desciende en las profundidades de la historia: murallas medievales, luego romanas y finalmente etruscas. La plaza est\u00e1 construida encima del antiguo foro romano y la catedral, al final de la misma y los escalones empinados, se encuentra encima del \u00a0viejo templo de J\u00fapiter. La Piazza del Popolo de Todi, es un espacio cerrado dominado por enormes edificios que ofrece, al igual que las fortificaciones, una fuerte sensaci\u00f3n de protecci\u00f3n. A menudo, este lugar se cita por numerosos estudios hist\u00f3ricos como un modelo de plaza medieval. Sin duda es muy hermosa, impresionante. A la vecina plaza, Garibaldi, se pasa por un callej\u00f3n estrecho y sorprendentemente el lado opuesto est\u00e1 totalmente abierto a las bellas colinas de Umbr\u00eda<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Todi tiene tres filas de recintos fortificados.
