The Black Tower, built in the 16<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;century, and the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas are found in its south-eastern corner. The Baroque City Hall building lies at the opposite corner of the square, whilst its central point is occupied by Samson\u2019s Fountain, featuring elaborate Baroque decorations.
