Sf\u00e2r\u0219itul aceluia\u0219i secol aduce o transformare radical\u0103, c\u0103ci, urmare a cutremurului din 1895, locul caselor vechi e luat de re\u0219edin\u021be neoclasice \u0219i, mai apoi, Sezession. \u00cen 1980, arhitectul sloven Edvard Ravnikar compune actualul design circular al pavajului, care d\u0103 pie\u021bei o not\u0103 foarte particular\u0103: un soare, pe fundal de granit, cu raze din marmur\u0103 macedonean\u0103 de Prilep. Un pod triplu, Tromostovje, peste r\u00e2ul Ljubljanica, leag\u0103 pia\u021ba prin Stritarjeva ulica de pia\u021ba veche a ora\u0219ului, aflat\u0103 la poalele dealului unde e castelul, \u00een imediata vecin\u0103tate a catedralei. Pia\u021ba ora\u0219ului, Mestni trg, e dominat\u0103 de o f\u00e2nt\u00e2n\u0103 de la 1751.
