Numele lui e purtat ast\u0103zi de pia\u021ba din T\u00e1bor. Situat pe un v\u00e2rf de deal, cu pia\u021ba chiar pe culme, \u00een imediata vecin\u0103tate a lacului botezat Iordan, dup\u0103 r\u00e2ul biblic, ora\u0219ul a fost fondat \u00een prim\u0103vara anului 1420, drept centru al mi\u0219c\u0103rii revolu\u021bionare husite. Ini\u021bial, a fost regulat, apoi a avut tendin\u021ba de a se dezvolta organic, \u0219i forma pie\u021bei despre aceasta vorbe\u0219te. Str\u0103zile au fost special g\u00e2ndite \u00een zig-zag, ca inamicul s\u0103 ajung\u0103 greu \u00een centru.
